Works in 14 languages: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Tagalog, and Haitian Creole. No translator app, no typing, no guessing.

A few things worth knowing.

Built offline-first for a reason. Here's how to make the hardware side just as bulletproof.

🔐
Lock It Down
Get a Kensington-style security cable. It's a standard laptop lock (~$15–$25 on Amazon) that threads through a mount or bracket and physically tethers the tablet to your headrest or center console. If someone tries to pocket it, the cable says no. Search: "Universal tablet security cable lock" or "Kensington lock tablet mount." Most tablet cases and mounts have the slot built in.
📶
Internet — Optional but Easy
The core app runs 100% offline. Your info, photos, guide, and games work with zero signal — perfect for tunnels, rural stretches, or a dead zone.

What needs internet: Discord passenger notifications, the tip QR load (if hosted via URL).

Three easy options: (1) Bluetooth tethering from your phone — no hotspot plan needed on most carriers. (2) Your phone's regular hotspot. (3) Your car's built-in WiFi — most 2020+ vehicles have it standard. Any of these keeps the connected features live without a separate tablet data plan.
🗂️
Mounting Tips
Headrest mount: Best passenger visibility, most professional look. Search "universal headrest tablet mount" — $10–$20.

Center console: Good for front-seat passengers, easy for you to reach the night mode button.

Kiosk mode: On Android, enable "Pin App" (Settings → Security → App Pinning). On iPad, use Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access). This locks passengers to your app — no accidental Safari, no settings access.

The hardware is cheap.

We built our own setup for under $90 total. Here's exactly what works — grab it on Amazon with Prime and you're ready in two days. We hold zero inventory; you own your hardware outright.

📱
The Tablet — ~$60
Amazon Fire HD 10 is the sweet spot: big screen, fast enough, runs offline apps perfectly, and cheap enough you're not stressed if a passenger spills something.

Search Amazon: "Amazon Fire HD 10" — buy the base model, skip the ads version for $15 more, it's worth it.
🪝
Headrest Mount — ~$15
Universal headrest tablet mount. Straps to the back of your front headrest, adjustable for basically any tablet size, and folds flat when not in use. Passengers in the back seat get a direct line of sight.

Search Amazon: "Universal headrest tablet mount 10 inch"
🔒
Security Cable — ~$15
Kensington-style laptop lock. Threads through the mount or headrest bar and physically tethers the tablet. If someone tries to walk off with it, the cable says no.

Search Amazon: "Universal tablet security cable lock" — most mounts and tablet cases have the slot built in.

Connections

Two optional but powerful hookups: a Discord webhook so passenger requests ping your phone silently, and your tip QR code so passengers can tip you in one scan.

How to set this up (2 minutes): 1. Create a free Discord server.  2. Make a channel like #passenger-requests.  3. Edit Channel → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook → Copy URL.  Paste it here. Passenger requests (AC, songs, etc.) now ping your phone without sharing your number.
How to get your QR code image URL: 1. Open Venmo or CashApp and find your personal QR code.  2. Screenshot it.  3. Upload to imgur.com (free).  4. Right-click the uploaded image → Copy image address.  5. Paste here. The QR will appear in your app's sidebar.
